What we're looking for

Submission guidelines

  • Articles should be 600–1,500 words; press releases 300–800 words.
  • All work must be original and not published elsewhere. Plagiarism leads to instant rejection.
  • Fact-check names, dates, figures and quotes before submitting. Include sources where relevant.
  • Write in clear, plain English. Avoid jargon, hype and excessive self-promotion.
  • You must own the rights to any images you send, or they must be free to use.
  • We reserve the right to edit for clarity, length and house style.
  • One backlink to your website or profile may be included in the author bio.

How to submit

Email your pitch or completed draft to editorial@ipsnews.co.uk with:

For press releases, put "PRESS RELEASE:" at the start of your subject line so it reaches the right desk faster.

What happens next

Our editorial team reviews every submission. If your piece is accepted, we aim to publish it within 3–5 working days and will confirm the publication date by email. If it's not a fit, we'll let you know — though we can't always give detailed feedback.
